Development Services
Over our eighteen years in Software and Application Development we have delivered hundreds of applications, most of which are still running and serving our clients well. Our specific expertise can be grouped into the following categories:
- Web-enabled Applications: These are programs designed to use a web browser interface making them easy and intuitive to use. Today, almost all our applications are web-enabled, even if they are meant for internal use – not to be accessed via the internet. The common web browser interface that everyone is intimately familiar with, cuts down on training costs and makes transition easy.
- Client Server Applications: These are systems designed to leverage the power and security of database servers (distributed, or clustered) with the speed and flexibility of local systems. For example, we have developed applications that query many different databases, combine, and calculate and then display the results in dashboard in a way that makes sense to the decision makers.
- Financial Systems: These are typically Accounting Systems, ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) Systems, and Reporting Applications. Our work in this area is broadly defined as middleware – a set of applications that allow for the interoperability of such systems. Typical examples are programs that allow a fulfillment system to communicate with an inventory and work-flow system, or an e-commerce system to consolidate with an accounting system.
- Transactional Systems: These are workflow applications, transaction processing systems, EDI and communications systems designed to track or process transactions across the enterprise. Examples of such systems are e-commerce packages, credit card transaction applications, and work-order/ticketing systems.
- Business Logic Systems: The most sophisticated of today’s systems, these applications are designed to capture the specific business logic in a structured and automated process. This can be any system that enforces a workflow, captures institutional knowledge, or accurately models the business allowing you to not only monitor and control, but to react proactively and plan accordingly.
- Multimedia Interactive Systems: This is a broad category encompassing Games, Educational Software, Training software, Community web sites, Blogs, Forums, and applications that use a variety of audiovisual media. These types of systems “learn” and change based on user feedback and actions. They come in a variety of forms – from highly interactive artificial intelligence applications, to simple “post/respond” blogs.
- Adver-Gaming Systems: These programs are games designed to deliver the message of an advertiser through engaging and entertaining play. A science in of themselves, these type of applications are small, easily distributable via the web or wirelessly, and frequently come in the form of contests and short-lived puzzles.
